I can't wait for summer camping trips...

Finally got back out to the shop after work tonite and had a fresh look at the pan exhaust.The first four pieces look good.But,after that I can start to see where the Lucky lager took over and things got sloppy.I decided to cut up the second half of the rear exhaust and redo it, and I'm pleased with the results.sssssssnakey...

'50 Panhead winter redux

This is the exhaust that came with the bike.It sounds awesome,but the front pipe is too low and scrapes on corners and speedbumps etc.

This is the Superior nos exhaust I bought online a few years ago.It fits like shit at the flanges,the front pipe is too short, and the rear pipe too high for a passenger etc.But the mufflers are kick-ass!!

I cut off the good flanges from the first exhaust and picked up 3 sections of used 1 3/4" pipes from Bent Bike.A night of cutting grinding and bending resulted in this new pipe that leaves room for passenger pegs,and has lots ground clearance.

I just need to make a muffler bracket and slightly lengthen the front pipe.Diggin the flow and clearance of the rear pipe.Good for jumpin curbs!

When Motorcycho Norman told me there was gonna be Rawk n' Roll and Run-what-ya-brung racing outside the Motorcycle Trade show,I never thought it would actually go down.When I showed up and saw the sketchy course WITH JUMP Icouldn't believe it! Then I got free beer.What a nite! Heres a quick video of the winner, on a narrow barred hardtail.He beat out the dirtbikes,camperized streetbikes,cbr,cbx,and sporty chop to take the checkered flag.Fuck yeah.
